The Gifford Youth Achievement Center (GYAC) proudly recognizes Diana Gonzalez, Jordan McPherson, Cameron Smith and Tyjah Warner as GYAC’s 2021 Students of the Year. In honor of their hard work and dedication throughout GYAC’s Afterschool Program, Gonzalez, McPherson, Smith and Warner were presented with an iPad at GYAC’s end of school party in May.

“During the previous school year, Diana, Jordan, Cameron and Tyjah were committed to their academics and demonstrated all of the characteristics of a model student: superior attendance, integrity, compassion, honesty and leadership skills,” remarked Angelia Perry, Executive Director of GYAC. “With three Ps in mind: Purpose, Preparedness and Praise, GYAC feels it’s important to recognize all students for achievements they make, both big and small, throughout the year.”

Along with our Students of the Year, GYAC recognized Teachers of the Year, Amanda Lane and Anna Rogers. GYAC also celebrated students who showed the most improvement, and all students were presented with a certificate of completion from their teacher.

GYAC is currently accepting applications for its 2021-2022 Afterschool Program which begins Tuesday, August 10. The cost is $60 per student per semester, which includes Christmas and Spring Break camps.
